    Pfft. Tires smires. But I did help prototype the engine in that 4x4.


    On a side note. Those there's are awesome. I'll have to ask the polaris guys about it next time they're over.

    These were actually originally developed for Humvee's. Pretty cool to see them making their way to the civilian market.

    I have seen them for years. I think the brand name is "Flats"?

    Of course, they don't work as well, and ruin the rims.

    these have been around for a while, just no one has commercialized them.

    id love to see what you could do with a track or high performance tire, the pneumatic tire is really really terrible if you think about the forces involved in automotive performance compared to something like this.

    Don't know how I feel about these for ATV's and such, I could just see that honeycomb filling with all kinds of mud and debris and just bogging it down. Could really see it taking off on the track though

    I sincerely hope the open sidewall is for marketing purposes only. Even in racing that'd be a lot of added drag. Being able to adjust tire pressure is pretty critical for hardcore off roading as well. Cool concept though.
