Thread: The OT thread V1

Have you guys seen the thread about the new ninja reg extender? Some comments, especially the one asking why they didn't use a ball valve, are so fucking stupid.

I'm sure lots of people saw that today was a big release of new Star Wars toys. Well, BB-8, the new droid based on the Sphero toy is freakin' awesome.

He's the toy version of this guy - which in case you were wondering, is a PRACTICAL effect in the new Star Wars, not CGI!

And in case you were curious as to how it works, see below:

I love it and want one. When I first saw it, I thought "Hey I know a neat way you could make that work in reality"... turned out to be how they are doing it

I wonder if I can get one by the wife and as a way to help teach Jessica to crawl after it...

New Inception marketing droid. You could take it along to events, painted up in Inception colours. Might even be a write-off on your taxes that way, because it'd be a marketing tool.

I made one of these things in 8th grade, but of course it wasn't nearly so elegant or worked so well. What I learned from that experience is that internally controlled rolling spheres are super impractical.

Congratulations Fred! Healthy size too! Sleep every moment you can and don't feel guilty one bit.

It's really not that hard to get your child to sleep through the night. All you have to do is redefine "night" as 10:47 PM to 2:24 AM.
