The rifle update. The guy made his own new valve for it. That is from the re-build site.

Hah! Wonder if they resprung it.
Get off my computer.
I am planning on doing a short run for normal cocker, 2k5 spec intimidator (ramsleeve), and resurrection cocker, all using the same gen4 poppet.
I actually made a generation 6 intimidator version that was not threaded together and it sucks. Use threads.
Oh, I see.
Did I miss something, you making cocker valves now Lurker?

Do these guys change their air filters on pits? There's no way they're not losing power due to clogged filters, right?
I honestly wouldn't doubt if the entire engine is rebuilt between stages.
yup. a lot more than the air filter is changed. its not because of dust in the air filters though, its because of the significant damage done to the exhaust valves by the anti-lag system. the ALS basically cooks everything. car gets a rebuilt engine at least at every event, if not every night during the event.
I drove the Dragon today.
Not in anything built for it, just my Outlander Sport. It is 4wd but only fwd engaged. Just 148hp pulling 3200lbs of Lancer based Cute Utility Vehicle through a rubber band transmission.
But it was glorious. I tailed a lowered, first gen Miata (pretty sure, just saw from the back and I am not that good) with a SCCA rollbar that was running too rich. We got stuck behind a couple of Harleys till they finally pulled over, and just took off...
Had the miata in sight for a couple miles, and then only occasionally through the trees on aggressive corners. I blew through that road. The Mitsu was surprisingly fantastic through the corners. The brakes never faded, the suspension firm. I hadn't needed to push it anything close to that before today, but it was really stable, consistent and the tires (Dueller Run Flats, 245/40R19, 50% tread) let go predictably. I bombed the corners, and dogged back up to speed.
I was obnoxious enough that when I came past the ricer row at a pull out they all cheered me on, arms up in the air for throwing that relative pig around the Dragon, because you could hear the tire work for a ways. And at that point I was less than a minute behind the Miata.
It is a 20-30 minute concentrated run, but it was just perfect. Time for something a bit lighter, but still underpowered. :)
