the unitary executive is dead
Oh and just so we're all on the same page, the GoP's feigned outrage over congresswoman Talib's motherfucker comment, after Mr. Trump's vulgarity-laced campaign, is no more than pandering to exactly the GoP voter base Gordon and I have been talking about.
Welp, the shutdown is officially on Mitch McConnell's shoulders, who won't schedule a Senate vote on his own bill.

With the new delays in the investigation and the potential need for three rounds of voting (a primary, a runoff and a general), it*s now possible that the 9th District*s representative to the 116th Congress won*t be chosen until November 2019.
(I'm not sure we will see all three of a primary, a runoff, and a general, though. I would bet that the runoff will be avoided. Still, no representation for me this year.)
Do we still talk about global warming around here? So, it turns out that the models were accurately estimating heat increases after all, we just weren't doing a good job of measuring ocean increases. I think that explains why the energy balances seemed to drop for about 15 years.

The new analysis, published Jan. 11 in Science, shows that trends in ocean heat content match those predicted by leading climate change models, and that overall ocean warming is accelerating.
i love senate republicans attacking AOC suggesting that in the past we have had a top marginal tax rate of 70%. because it boils down, like many of these topics to the two alternatives.
either
#1 they are too stupid to know what a top marginal tax rate is. keep in mind they are US senators, who wouldn't know the first thing about tax policy if this were true. ie, they are total fucking morons.
or
#2 they are willfully lying directly to your face.
the distinction between these two positions is largely irrelevant.
Meh, everyone's gone. It's fine, copy-pasting the GOP's daily racist horseshit was getting boring.
