Josh - What is the conclusion you are drawing from the studies and how does it relate to the voter ID interviews you refer to?
Not really drawing a conclusion - or pointing fingers. It related more to the background where one side of this forums arguments start from "All the other people are racist" and continue that point ad nauseam. It is just one study - that it is counter to the position some on here take is interesting.
The voter ID thing is here:

Telling that you invoke a term disparaging to women as an insult though.

Not a single thing about a woman in there. I am generally confused about your response. Are you insulted you are not a woman? Am I assuming your gender?
You state the R's are racists. So does Gordon. Emphatically so - hence my correct, non sexist use of the the word histrionics.

Genuinely confused by what you're surprised about here, this is neither new nor surprising.
Lets let the study author reply to this:
Quote:
*It was kind of an unpleasant surprise to see this subtle but persistent effect,* Dupree says. *Even if it*s ultimately well-intentioned, it could be seen as patronizing.*
So it would be new and surprising, according to your and Gordon's consistent responses. Think about it maybe for a bit.....
Oh wait, you doubled down with:
Quote:
The GoP is capital R Racist, and they know a significant portion of their base will revolt if they try to address the racial disparities in our society.
(not going to waste time looking up a face palm gif to add here.)

Maybe I should have gotten a few facepalm gifs bookmarked.

I think the "Birther" issue is a pretty good metric of what portion of the GoP is capital R Racist. 41% of Republicans refused to acknowledge Obama was born in the US when he left office.
It isn't.
And - well, if this is what you deeply believe, then that study I linked to would be a surprise. So, which is it? Did you not read it again Steve?

I consider myself a libertarian. Part that that comes from strong positions on individualism, and individual liberty. That drives me to see people for who they are as individuals, and not to be part of any group. Even if a group has a certain position they statistically hold, the individual can and will be unique. If you strongly hold individualism up high, you tend to reject aberrant constructs like Inter-sectionalism.
You seem to embrace it.
I wouldn't call the DNC racist. I wouldn't call the GOP racist. Some of each group are, and there will always be some, but that doesn't make the group racist.
Most people, both sides of the aisle, abhor any sort racism. That the truth. Trying to smear the 'other' side as racist all of the time is really just there to justify your dislike, your tribalism.
It is not about them. But about you. About your need to make the other side bad.
You and Gordon are speaking very firmly about your need to be seen a certain way. We get it. We see your signalling for what it is. Your smears, your slurs.
But it doesn't speak for the GOP. It just speaks about you.
With exaggerated dramatic behavior designed to attract attention.
Histrionics.
