    Sourcing solenoids

Can anyone point me somewhere where I can find solenoids other than Airsolider?

depending on how many you need you could possibly order direct from the manufacturer...

I had pretty decent luck calling the manufacturer (SMC mostly) and going through a local rep. Any particular brand you're looking to source?

I really have NOT had much luck sourcing linear actuators/ clapper noids.

Humphreys will send you a couple samples, if you tell them you may order a bunch. We're testing with them now, the standard SMC noids in use now we've found to have a much higher failure rate.

If you have a part number, try searching for it on the poweraire.com website. They rep for a ton of solenoid valve manufacturers that are, for whatever reason, not shown in their catalogs, but can be ordered via searching by part number. Or shoot them an email and ask, they are usually fast to respond.

When I was in industrial automation design, we had stacks of catalogs for this stuff. Unfortunately, I don't remember the companies.
