They're usually 90-duro urethane or any other such elastomer. To make them you need a couple of punches in the right sizes (don't have my spares or calipers with me right now, so I can't say what size those are) and sheets of the preferred material.

I have one I can measure, thanks.

I did a search and all I could find in small quantities for 1/16" was through MSC, I hate shopping there with their inflated prices, any idea where I can find this in a small quantity? I need to make about 50.

McMaster has 90-duro black polyurethane sheets 1/16" thick, 6" X 20' at $9.00 + shipping. Couldn't find any less quantity for less $. The good thing is, most reg seats are made of it, even for moving base regulators; so if you get the right set of punches, you can sell the rest as spare seats, I know some users at automag owners or custom cockers would love some for their older discontinued regs (air america, sheridan, etc).

Thanks for all the help, much appreciated.

I'll have to pick up a press and figure out where to get the dies.

There is a little more to it than that.
