Manufacturers and aftermarket Blasting Media

I am researching the anodizing process for PB guns so my son and I can do a few of our guns. What blast media do most anodizers use to get the dust finish? I know that it is blasted and I know every manufacturer has its own dust look as well as all aftermarket finishers. What do they use? Soda blasting almost seems to "fine" fine.

I use glass bead on all my aluminum firearm and paintball parts. The local anodizer that does most of my anodizing also uses glass bead also.
