An Idea for Poppet Valve Markers

I'm positive this has been thought of before, but I can't find a ton on it.

Why has no one made a poppet valve system where the ram has springs on both sides?

I would imagine something along the lines of a stiffer spring in the back and a softer one in the front gets you a snappy cycle that wouldn't require as much sauce from the LPR and would still have the dampening effect from the spring in the front in a similar way that air bumpers do that using an extra oring or w.e.

Springs arranged like that add in series, so it'd effectively operate like a single spring that's a combination of the two.

If you don't see it pick some values and try it at a couple points in the ram stroke, and see if you can come up with an "effective" spring constant for the combination.
