Does it have a bolt that pushes the ball into the barrel? Or does it fire it from inside the breech?
Dear boy, I work at Planet Eclipse, don't you know..

    Total badass.
I named those 2 films because at 4 hrs, it's not your standard, modern 90min+ fair(with some studios, almost apologetic of offering a 120min film now), black & while (for 7 samurai) is hard for some to watch in the 21st century, and most people can not deal with subtitles at all, where i prefer them.

    How is yoir opinion on:
The Man with the Golden arm
    The Great Dictator
    Silent Running
    Paths of Glory
    Seconds
    Harvey
    The Duellists

Sorry if i am too passionate over a subject that i love. No, i have no meme to contend with. I enjoy a movie for what it can do, i enjoy discussing the film in all its aspects, and if i can educate those of what i know, learned and have experienced.

It fires from the breech. I haven't taken it all the way down to see how the valve works, but what I've read suggests it's some type of spool valve. The breech rotor is delrin and has a little piston that rotates it 90* when the trigger is back. Bacci told me the gun will blend paint, so I've only shot some test balls.

    The patent is here:

    https://www.google.com/patents/US5494024

And vintage RX has the manual also:

    http://www.vintagerex.com/museum/Sou...s/Phoenix.html

The reg and switch are kinda like the Equalizer. The breech seems to be a ram action of a sort, and the valve also is very similar to an equalizer, it basically is the same thing. It uses a face seal, so you all would call it a poppet. :P

I suspect the same guy was involved with the Equalizer - so much is the same.

Here is an Equalizer page: http://munkies.net/munkies/info_pics...er/eqtech.html

The manual is fairly basic, but the ad page is worth a good look! http://www.vintagerex.com/museum/PMI...Equalizer.html

When I was doing some research on the gun, supposedly the guy served someone with a C&D for a blow forward variant of the gun... Called the falcon maybe. Someone like paintball heaven or something was trying to use bits of it. I'll see if I can find the link.

Edit: HP Lovecraft details it here: http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/d...phoenix-2.html

Daily, I do software work. Lots of Simulink/C etc. Today I got to look at a CAD assembly with a whole bunch of parts in it for an upcoming release. Was neat to look at and a nice change of pace.
