I have to think the Golden Globes people knew what they were getting when they asked Gervais to host. I didn't watch, but the results are entirely predictable. It'd be like roasting everyone... ever... anywhere.

weren't we talking about LIGO not a few months back here?

it seems the rumors that LIGO picked up a gravitational wave is getting firmer. i know they just finished a big upgrade in controls and suspension systems, cause i was talking with one of the guys who was working on it about a year ago.

Robot Wars is back on the BBC! This is excellent news.

Yes it is. Always wanted to build one. I was quite surprised by how big they actually are after seeing one in person.

As was I. Building one is on the cards either way (has been for a while, the UKFRA isn't too far from me), but this might push the project to actually start.

Alright, have a question for any car nuts on the forum.

I have acquired a 2003 Tacoma for a very small amount of money, obviously I need to get it in shape before I can get it inspected.

When the car rolls backwards, the ABS light turns on, and stays on until I turn the car off. Unfortunately, when the car turns off so does the light, and doesn't come back until the car reverses again. I can't seem to figure out how to pull the code.

Any suggestions/ideas? Trying to put as little money into this as possible.

Go to autozone and borrow one of their OBDII scanners. Hook it up to the truck and it should pull the ABS code. Alternatively, you can buy the cheapo Bluetooth kits on Amazon and download an app on your phone which will do it. The only benefit to the phone avenue is that it will let you look up the code on the internet right there and then instead of having to write it down and look it up later.

Unfortunately ABS codes aren't OBD-II compliant, so the scanners at Autozone turned up zilch. Might look into the bluetooth thing, though.

Bluetooth OBDII scanner would likely turn up the same thing.

You may need to take it in for a proper scan with a mechanic.
