Does anyone have a GREAT solidworks model for a spring?

I am looking for one where it would be easy to modify the wire diameter, OD (or ID) and length to get a new model.

Bonus points if you can actually tweak the coil count simply but that's not as a big a factor for me

Any spring model downloaded from McMaster should do the trick - they're equation driven because I'm pretty sure they procedurally generate most of their hardware, but that seems like a plus for you.

Wire Dia is just in a sketch, then they use a composite curve comprised of 3 helices to get the ends to look nice. I think everything you need is in there?

I made an equation/expression driven one in NX. Maybe you could do the same in Solidworks?

I know this is an old thread, but if you still need a source try >> http://www.centuryspring.com/Store/s...ompression.php
Put in your spring specs and pull up the spring you want then click on the draftsman square right above the list price and it will take you to all the CAD files for that spring.

    Random Example>
