It might help to mention what frame is on there. Stock slider?
Hello.
I played a pump and magfed only Victoria Day game yesterday that was much fun. Got to see some fabulous sten style magfed mods from a guy named Dave.
An issue arose with my brother's Sniper II that I was hoping you guys could help with.
The safety is very loose. Seriously loose. It works in the sense that it will block you from shooting if it is in the safety on position but it will move between on and off from running around or a very light brush against a thumb or finger. I wan this to be better working for obvious safety reasons, but I must admit it bothered me when this issue prevented me from nailing a guy in a moment that would have made look pretty damn good to my team.
I have no idea how it works. Would like help from you guys on this. Is there an o-ring in there, a ball bearing, a spring? What would need replacing to fix the symptom of looseness? How do I get in there to do anything? Push it really hard until it comes out?
Thanks for your help to anyone who knows Snipers.

I work for the company building the Paragon
Pictures would definitely help to ID the frame.
Most Autococker/Sniper safety's I'd dealt with had a spring and ball bearing or plunger below the safety. Could be gunked up or corroded.
We always took the safety's out of our pumps...
Most likely this. The ball bearings were TINY. Same with the spring. They got stuck really often. Take them out and clean them up, or we just took them out all together like CFCrew. Most Autococker/Sniper safety's I'd dealt with had a spring and ball bearing or plunger below the safety. Thank you for that advice guys. I will look for ball bearings and springs and clean them to start with. Do I just force the button out?
PBsteve, it is all stock. Had no idea I could even replace the frame on a pre-autococker marker. Here are some images. Please just ask for more if needed.

It appears the bottom of the images was cut off for some reason unknown to me. Here they are on ownCloud:

Took the trigger frame off and took a photo with my phone. Sorry about the quality. This is taken looking down upon the top of the trigger frame so you can see the safety.

yeah, there should be a wee spring in there and a ball bearing in the hole at the bottom
If there is another group of people outside of paintballers who will jump on a bandwagon faster than the speed of light - I have yet to meet them.
Yep. Looks like it is missing. The spring would be sticking out of the frame from that hole above the safety.yeah, there should be a wee spring in there and a ball bearing in the hole at the bottom

Thanks guys. Anything to know about this or just drop any ball bearing that fits and put any spring that fits on top of it?
Basically. This is late 80's early 90's tech. Whatever fits, works.
