    doesn't 80/20 have stuff with slots already extruded into it?

    shits expensive sure, but it is the design easy button sometimes.

    Even if 80/20 were in my budget (there are chinese knockoffs, after all), I've looked through their catalog already and didn't see anything that quite fit my application.

    Surely just buy the tube then find a steel fabricator in your area that can slot it? It would be a 5min job with the right machines.
