Well, since Bloomberg can't be the democratic nominee, you can't really say it would be true. Just like how good or bad Hilary would be as president, as she lost the bid. It's simply the fact that you cannot predict the future. You can not judge how a person would do in a position that they are unable to hold.

I've said it since before he was elected. The Dunning Kruger President is unsurprisingly failing to lead his administration effectively in a time of real crisis.

hate to break it to you steve, trumps gonna get re-elected. his support has not dropped a bit, even with the economy crashing, 10 million on unemployment in 2 weeks, and thousands dying every day.

If they cant slow down the spread of this enough he might actually lose a chunk of his voting base, many of which are critically effected by this disease, and some others that are either disillusioned by how this played out or how bad the recovery job market will be. Especially in some of those close states. Florida and PA really stick out to me as states that if this is left to spread fairly unchecked and cause the damage that it can, he would lose a larger part of his voting base in those critical states that he won.

Those 2 states would have lost him the last election and neither were a landslide victory. Both of those states, Florida especially, have a large population of seniors whom were pretty likely to vote for him. Morbidly, both of those states have a huge association to the general epicenter area.

Jesus, the Wisconsin GOP just can't stop being complete fucks for two seconds.

The party of life is very clearly demonstrating they don't give a shit about your life as long as they get to hold onto power. Fucking cowards hiding behind the constitution to force a vote they think will be more favorable to them at the risk of the state's citizens, when the power and responsibility to protect the public is theirs. Party of personal responsibility my fucking ass.

*The governor*s executive order is clearly constitutional overreach,* state House Speaker Robin Vos (R) and Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R) said in a joint statement. *This is another last-minute flip-flop from the governor," the statement noted. "The governor himself has repeatedly acknowledged he can*t move the election. Just last week a federal judge said he didn*t have the power to cancel the election and Gov. Evers can*t either.*

There was mounting pressure on Wisconsin to postpone its election in recent days as worries about the spread of the coronavirus grew and the state faced polling closures and severe worker shortages. On Friday, Evers called for a special legislative session to cancel in-person voting so the election could be held entirely by mail. A federal judge had previously extended the absentee voting deadline by a week to allow for the election to continue as planned.

However, Republicans leading the Wisconsin legislature did not take up Evers*s proposal to cancel in-person voting, instead gaveling out of the special Saturday session after only a few minutes. In addition, Wisconsin Republicans had challenged the federal ruling on extending absentee ballot voting. The petitioners had asked the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on that case by Monday.

Many were bracing for an administrative disaster at the polls on Tuesday. In Milwaukee, the largest city in Wisconsin with a population of nearly 600,000, only between six and 12 polling stations would have been open for in-person voting, compared to 180 during the 2016 election. Officials were worried that the polling place crunch will lead to longer lines and bigger crowds, potentially making the centers hotbeds for the spread of disease.

Are you that myopic? People purpose their intention to run, the public feels them out, whether through action(running out of money) or inaction(personal controversy, non-critical scandals, i.e. affairs, old dirt) people drop out, or they did not earn enough bids in the primaries. The nomination is not an exact science nor is it fair. No one is ever going to be completely happy with any nominee, for either party. Rarely do you get 2 strong candidates that, except for the letter behind their names, are equally qualified to hold the highest position.

So no, you do reach into a hat. Unless it is the bizarro world you wish to live in.

Lol, Secretary of the Navy says he fired captain of the Roosevelt because he was "stupid" and didn't follow the chain of command.

Then he tells reporters that he had opened a direct line to the captain, from his civilian office, subverting the chain of command.

Sounds to me the captain was frustrated with incompetence higher up and concerned about the safety of his crew, and this Modly guy got butthurt over it. Soap opera in the Navy featuring a pandemic, fragile egos, and unsurprising administrative failures.
