Thread: OT: Politics

I find it funny that there are no laws nor repercussions for forging of electoral ballots in the election. I mean, there are provisions to be declared false electors and ramifications for going against the state/party but nothing for people actually trying to subvert, nee outright steal the election. I am not surprised by this as when we are living in the time where if it is not emphatically written down(president releasing their taxes, divesting from personal assests, etc), where they scream for law & order, being against fascism(and pointing the finger at) while doing everything in that playbook.

Can we get back to the time when we are surprised again by the actions of politics/politicians?

At this point ragging on trump feels like beating a literal dead horse, but diverting your cybersecurity budget to pay for a useless physical wall is about as stupid as shredding the pandemic response plan.

Trump?s apparently not a ?foresight? kind of guy.

Well, when you are a narcissist, all you care about is that people are talking about you, feeding into that ego. But it really isn't him, as to the countless thousands of people who are totally blind to his many, apparent, and idiotic faults. Even with the wall, they are stuck on the idea of a wall being the ideal of security, when most illegals enter into the country via travel visas that expire. So it becomes a landmark, that it must do something because their savior told them so. So they pay no attention to the truth that Mexico never paid a scent, even though he promised to the opposite, that the funds that weren't embezzled came from the DoD budget, which the big parts kept bumping the little parts and that the money was squeezed out from some little known but seemingly important division.

But that is asking someone who only worries about himself and his name to be trusted with the governing of a nation.

And now, trump is pointing his fat finger at China when every media source and his own sect of State is saying Russia is responsible(though i am not naive to believe that the full truth will ever be known). I wonder if Putin had caught trump with some underaged girl when the miss universe pagent was in Moscow, hence all the love for Putin and dismissal of anything bad from Russia?

I think you can pretty safely ignore Trump's take on anything at this point without fear of being wrong.

Just like the ACA. Obama wanted to do bipartisanship and get universal healthcare through a republican bill(which was either from McConnell or Romney), and yet it is unabashedly derided as a socialist democratic communist plot to make state sponsored health care by the numbers.
