C'mon, everyone knows if you are a republican strategist that once worked for H.W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Rudy Giuliani then you've got to be a shill for Nancy Pelosi.

Trump SOTU: Looks over his right shoulder at an administration riddled with vacancies, cronyism and utter incompetence. Looks over his left shoulder at Robert Muller, looks in front of him at a republican party splintering over his inability to negotiate to achieve his political goals, and clears his throat - "Be afraid of socialism!"
Does anyone still fall for this bullshit?

The Conservative take on the establishment clause; another topic to ignore Conservative Christians about when they whine:
https://www.aclu.org/blog/religious-...7D0Qt1M2NytXA4Last week, the Supreme Court permitted the state of Alabama to execute a Muslim man, Domineque Ray, without his religious advisor present. The court*s 5-4 decision reversed an emergency lower-court order that had temporarily delayed the execution because of grave concerns that Alabama*s practice of allowing only the state*s Christian chaplain to be present in the execution chamber unconstitutionally favored Christian prisoners.
Without even acknowledging those concerns, the court issued a brief, callous decision that is, as Justice Kagan noted in dissent, *profoundly wrong.* It is also the latest example of a disturbing trend of religious favoritism, in which minority faiths * particularly Islam * are given second-class legal status.

Since it's been brought up before:
https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/68/...cid=mm6806e1_eWhat is added by this report?
In 2018, 4.04 million high school students and 840,000 middle school students currently used any tobacco product; e-cigarettes were the most commonly used product. Driven by an increase in e-cigarette use, current tobacco product use significantly increased among high school and middle school students during 2017*2018, erasing the decline in tobacco product use among youths that occurred in previous years.

if anyone was wondering if trump was working for himself, or for the GOP, or for the country, its pretty obvious in declaring this national emergency, hes working for himself.
GOP is really gonna regret not stopping him. so dangerous to let this happen.

Will be interesting to see if this nonsense leads to any structural curtailing of executive power.

For the record I am skeptical of any/all structural changes occurring
"So you've done this before?"
"Oh, hell no. But I think it's gonna work."
I can't decide if a national emergency declaration over climate change is a good idea. It's already more justified by the Pentagon than a border wall, I just don't see it being effective.
