Could the BB chrono sense the ball speed by reading it through the barrel porting rather then mounting it in front of the barrel? Of course that assumes that two rows of porting are opposite of each other....
Congrats! How many for ya? Boy-Girl? (We have...6)Sorry was busy having a kid.
Sweet!Brief update, 99% of the MCU/RF stuff I needed to proceed arrived last night
Edit: Just saw this: http://www.gizmag.com/arduino-compat...osystem/27007/

We had a little boy. I don't think I've slept in over a week, but I guess that comes as part of the package
So anyone have a good EE that want to work on this stuff? For free?
I'm just an EE student... but I'd be more than happy to attempt!
Can't edit my post (grumble grumble), and can't PM Simon to edit it, but I moved the test recording for the sonic chrony idea.

I now have the Arduinos talking in a tree network. Haven't managed to get the Nordic SOC's going at all, unfortunately. Ordered some wider tube to make slip-on devices.
Microphone -> ADC then pass it through a DFFT and you could probably pick out those features pretty easily once you got it working. The trick is going to be getting sufficient bandwidth, as the really distinct features sound like they're highish on the frequency spectrum, but as long as it hits 100kHz to be safe you should be fine. Probably gonna need a filter or two, but what circuit doesn't...
What's the clock speed of an arduino?
Edit: What am I thinking... a couple band-pass filters would be sufficient.

So that [the opensource backpack, not the doppler module, I already have like 5 of those] actually makes radar super easy, will get one and look into it.
