I'd rather complain about them :P
Does anyone know definitively the status of Dye's shutoff patent? I believe it's this guy? http://www.google.com/patents?id=J-Q...page&q&f=false
Anyone else enjoy just browsing patents for fun? I think its awesome to see the thought process behind markers/inventions and possibly find sneak peeks at things.
Some of the coolest I've found were everything Simon does, early Planet Eclipse markers, DYE markers, of course the Splat master and 007 (and clones) as well as accessories like the POPS ASA and efficiency modifications
I'm thinking about taking patent drawings like this POPS ASA
And do something like this:
For some classy paintball decor for my place.
Just thought discussing parents would be fun.

Learn something new every day! I was just looking at my halo (well the parts I have) and reminiscing about using it. I should put one together, they were/are great hoppers.
I'll see what I can come up with for a decent looking picture to frame. I honestly think you could just print any of the photos in the patent on some fancy paper (resume/anything similar to what I have pictured) and then go from there.

That's funny it expired, Billy Wing threatened to sue us if we launched our gun because of that patent. We had to redesign our bolt engine just to avoid it - then I was told by a lawyer that since they never enforced it (they never did anything about the Quest when I was at FEP) that it's already as good as dead. Then they let it lapse. Good riddance I say.
Now if only SP/KEE's patents on gun electronics would go away we might see some innovation...
