ABS takes a hit just fine. Not sure about the other materials.

What is the unit of measurement for this?

I'm sending it out for quotes and taking it to school to see what they all can do.

Should be in mm. I tried it in inches and it was huge.

    The 250 isn't too bad.

the $10K most likely thought it was in inches.... or where you trying to make it out of metal/ wanting it tomorrow?

But I'm getting numbers in the $250-$1000 range :\

Sadly that's to much $$$ and a RP machine is as well.

If anyone finds a place that can print+ship it to me for less then $150 id pull the trigger

Any word on about of ABS used to make and how long it takes to print?

For both I had it in MM and I had it to be made in plastic. I have no idea as to why it came out to be so much.

It's possible to take a look at another design, but Simon did a great job with his design already; there's not much to be changed if the capacity is to be kept the same.

The shell cost would also stay roughly the same since the material/time would be similar to this design.

An option would be to take a look at the options I numerated in post 48 and see how much that would help. At that point though you're basically redesigning a whole new hopper system which would drive the cost up considerably.
